Title: Mapping Suggestion
Post by: Zupps on September 27, 2015, 06:31:27 PM
Your name: Zupps
Suggestion: When you create a wall while mapping and it's to long you usually have to hope the smaller pieces of the wall should be long enough or short enough for everything to fit. So what I was thinking while you have /oe opened there should be an extra little option added. It resize it. Now what it would do is that when you have a wall and you press the resize button you can take an amount off the object that you want. It does't compress the object but all it does is take some of it off. You can use it via the arrows on the x,y,z axis command it already has. It may not make sense but I will gladly explain further.
Why should we add this?: Some people such as me would like to start mapping and be better at it. Why not make it easier and able to resize things without compressing them? It's easier, should be easier to map and it should be a hastle to script or even find via a filterscript.

I don't know is this even possible, resizing objects while mapping, but i like the idea. Also i don't know why we need object resizing in SA-MP, when SA-MP already added 3 different size of walls long, standart and small one, for example - there is that small one with reason right? to fill those little gabs same with other wall objects, just use the imagination and think more. But +1 for the idea.

Well here is the thing. You can get the object to go in another one by dragging it into it. But then they wall glitches and looks horrible. What if none of the walls fit? Then you can resize it.

cool cool. you want us to add new cars and import GTA IV map too?

SA-MP does not support object resizing (unless it's a postick). Also the UI you see when using /oe is not modifyable. Please do research when suggesting things like these.

also about the wall clipping, use some logics. If the wall is clipping when pushed into another one, just move it out by like 0.005 on the other axis (x or y, depends).

/thread.
