Suggestion: Implement a system that would make people benefit from helping others with their projects.

Why should we add this? This is something that must be done in order to increase activity on the server's core and stated purpose: machinima. Despite the server's name, people who join it are almost unanimously occupied with other things. When actual machinimists come around, they need a human cast as scripted actors can not always come to help with their limitations. However, very few people are ready to go out of their way to be there for them. I have experienced this myself a lot. Even though this has helped machinimists boost resourcefulness and come to most unexpected solutions such as extremely odd camera angles, it would be really nice of us if we provided people with a mechanism to hire actors.

Possible solution: Now, my proposition is very preliminary and imperfect, but I just want to lay it out so that discussion commence. The first solution that has occurred to me is to give people score for participating in other players' productions. The machinimist would have to "hire" the actor with a command, which would automatically add them into the machinimist's group and teleport them into the recording world and location.

Pros & Cons:

+ People will be more likely to help movie makers, which helps what our server considers its main mission.
+ A new and arguably interesting way of accumulating score will become available to our playerbase.

— There is no coherent response as to how actors will receive score and whether the machinimist will have to "pay" it to them.
— If the server gives out score, such a system might be prone to corruption, and constant admin surveillance will be necessary.
— If the machinimist is to "pay" their actors, unnecessary inequality between server insiders and newcomers will be created.

Anyway, your feedback is appreciated. The community is encouraged to jump in. We might come to a plausible solution to this, after all.

Suggestion: Custom textdraws (see pic with MrFrazen One Love)
Why should we add this?: Many here record footage that depicts an RP server.
On a certain RP project there's a means of describing your character with these textdraws. One could also attach a nickname to an actor, as not many people on the server are willing to go out of their way to help others, while a bot will come in handy if a FragMovie is in production.

Archive / Premiums Autoclear By Vote?
August 08, 2017, 03:27:18 AM
Something popped up in the premium suggestions thread that I thought should be discussed by common player, too.

Brief summary of the suggestion: Force clear
The more detailed text of the suggestion: Sometimes it takes too long to wait for the auto-clear at XX:00 and there might've been a troller spawning 100 bikes at spawn. So premiums will be able to /forceclear or /clear. (I assume admins already have that command, but it would be useful if premiums had it. Because as I said, there's not always staff in-game)
Priority: Medium

Here's my take on it:

As for the force clear, it's a bit less potentially harmful, and I'm only somewhat sceptical of it. Right now, admins reserve the right to start a vote on whether the server should be manually cleared. Maybe we could launch an experiment allowing the server to be cleared by vote started by a Premium.

General Discussion / Temporary Vacation
August 31, 2016, 05:54:42 PM
I hate to inform you that my activity is going to severely decrease following tomorrow. I am starting my first year at university, which means a lot to me. I don't want you to think I'm leaving - I might log on for a bit now and then - but it's nothing like what I used to spend here this summer.

Take care,

Off Topic / Technical Support For My Dying Pici

Recently I've been experiencing a certain problem with using my PC as it would repeatedly crash on a random moment and go on to reboot itself.

The answers for potential cause I've come across in the web are heat problems (doesn't seem likely), memory problems, and driver failure. What do you think?

Suggestion: Correcting the borderless grammar in server's script
Why should we add this? I may sound a bit nerdy, but it's rather irritating when players come across grammatical and spelling mistakes in the script. Examples of which I'm finding over and over:
Quote[21:54:17] Your armour has now refilled!
The correct form should be "your armor has been refilled".
Quote[21:54:23] {FFAF00}[INFO] XXX spawned Heat Seaker with 500 ammo
Spelling error, it should be "Heat Seeker", or "Heat-Seeking Rocket Launcher", according to GTA Wikia.
Quote[21:54:39] You are now in visible in /admins
An unneeded "in" preposition.
Quote[22:49:33] Syntax: /money <ammount>
The correct spelling is "amount".
Quote[22:51:41] Administrator XXX has unfreezed you
The correct spelling is "unfrozen".

I'll add more errors to be fixed if as I find them.

Accepted / Spawnpoint restriction & Airway
July 01, 2015, 09:26:58 PM
Your name: SmithRussia
Suggestion: Spawnpoint restriction for certain kind of vehicles
Why should we add this?:

Today, there is a ban on using certain kind of vehicles at the spawnpoint. I believe we should extend it.

THE BAN LIST
- Planes (include Dodo)

- Vehicles with water cannon

The water cannon is capable of making players immobile. It has to be banned to avoid abuses.

- Boats

Boats aren't capable of moving on land so they are completely useless on the spawnpoint. The usage of them will come to abuse.

- Big Ground Vehicles

Those vehicles are large and heavy, they take too much place and can be abused.

AIRWAY

It's annoying to have to avoid flying over the spawnpoint because it will get removed right in the air. I suggest that (if possible) we make an airway for that matter. The height of 350 meters is safe because Hydra missiles won't touch the ground.
